Sister Monica Mary spent 21 years at St. Francis Medical Center, serving 15 years in the Microbiology Lab and six years in Pastoral Care. One of her early duties while in the laboratory was to collect blood for testing from patients throughout the hospital. St. Francis Hospital, later known as St. Francis Medical Center and Rehabilitation Institute, was situated on 45th Street overlooking the community of Lawrenceville. St. Francis was a pioneer in behavioral health care and addiction treatment.
